Trolls and Lulz

Apparently, for the past ~24 hours, a group known as LulzSec has been DDoS'ing quite a few major servers. As I'm sure, there are tons of people that play Eve Online and some other games...all of which have been put down today by LulzSec's successful efforts.

    They just took down the log in servers, so anyone that was already signed in was ok, but logging into servers would be hard unless they have the server set to offline mode.

    I doubt it was a challenge to take down the minecraft servers. The minecraft servers in the past did a good job of taking themselves down.

    Still, targeting these services is just as unfortunate for the company as it is for the players. They should use their skills to do something useful.

    Attack wal-mart, perhaps? They have an online shopping service.
